The Arsenal Unai Emery praised new darling of the Emirates, the enforcer Lucas Torreira who got the winner in their game against Huddersfield, to cap off a great week for the North London side.  Torreira scored from close range with a spectacular bicycle kick just when it seemed like the Gunners might have to settle for a point.  The manager said: “ Last week he scored and today also. He has potential and he is very tactical on the pitch. He has potential in an attacking moment. He can also do some good work in a defensive moment. Torreira is improving. He has a commitment to learn English. The first step is this commitment and then he has quality. He can get into the box and score like today.”

He went on further to say: It was important for us to win today. We had chances in the first half and I think the second half was the same. Our goals have been coming later.

We needed to finish this week winning today and we spoke about this. We did that and we are happy with the three points and continuing in the table in a good position now. They will have a few days off now and come back on Tuesday. “

On the suspensions of Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi, (who was also injured) which rules them out of their next game against Southampton he said: “I need time to think. It was a tough match.”

This match was different from last week and it was tough. If we had started better it would have been easy for us. I think we finished like we wanted to.

On whether his players are becoming more adaptable in changing systems he said: “We are preparing differently and tactically.”

The Huddersfield manager David Wagner said:” I think if you concede so late in a game it is disappointing. I can see how we defended today against opponents of the highest level who are top class side. We had a couple of half chances where we should have done better. I think we can keep our heads high after this performance.”  Obviously we wanted to make it uncomfortable for them.”
